This week saw Aaron Petrucelli and Chris Chappel both step up for some big competition.

Aaron competed in the Mundials, which is the World Championships for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He won his first two matches on points and lost his third on points. The Mundials is bar none the toughest BJJ tournament in the world. The level of competition is extremely high. For Aaron to go out there and win two matches his first time on the world stage is extremely impressive. Good work Aaron we are very proud of you!

Chris Chappel had his third MMA fight on Saturday night. Chris improved his record to 3-0 with a win coming by guillotine choke at 45 seconds into the first round. Although we didn't get to see all the weapons Chris has been working on, Chris looked very relaxed and comfortable in the ring.

Good work guys, keep up the good work!

Congratulations to Chris Chappell who won at 3:59 of the first round by choking his opponent out. Chris moves to 2-0 as a pro and seems to have a lot of people noticing him in the local MMA community.

Also, great job by Ryan Conroy and Josh Treffry by jumpin up in the ring to do a BJJ demonstration in between fights. You guys looked great up there!

Starting January 1st, we are making a change in the schedule. The following days have some classes added or modified.


The Tuesday class schedule will be:

Kids class: 4:00-4:45pm
Open Mat: 5:00-6:00pm
Kickboxing class: 6:30-7:30pm
Intermediate No-gi BJJ Class: 7:30-8:30pm


The Wednesday class schedule will be:

White Belt class: 5:30-6:30pm.
Blue Belt class: 6:30-8:00pm.


The Friday class schedule will be:

Kickboxing class: 5:00-6:00pm
MMA class: 6:30-8:00pm

Congratulations to Chris Chappell who won his MMA debut tonight. Chris dominated the fight, taking his opponent to the ground. Working some strikes from half guard, passing to the full mount, where he rained down strikes until the ref stopped the fight. Good job Chris!

This weekend Enio & Berhan recieved their blue belts, and Ryan, Hagner, Tom and Chris recieved their purple belts. All these guys have worked very hard and the belts are well deserved!

Congratulations to Aaron and Ron on earning their Blue Belts! They have both worked very hard and have a good future in BJJ.
